About the job
The Medication Tech dispenses medications under the direction of a licensed nurse and helps residents with activities of daily living, such as hygiene, toileting, eating, moving safely to activities or functions, and caring for the resident's environment, including laundry and housekeeping.
He or she must be sensitive to the needs and desires of each resident and make an attempt to improve and enrich their lives.
Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in this state
Certified as Registered Medication Aide in this state
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications a plus
At least one year of experience, preferably in a long term care setting or assisted living community.
Candidates must have a genuine desire to help others and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Work authorization: United States (Required)
